Between the two ancient hills of Makkah, a story of desperate faith is permanently etched into the earth.

It begins with a mother, Hājar (عليها السلام), alone in a barren valley with her infant son, Ismā‘īl (عليه السلام). As his cries grew weak from thirst, her love ignited a relentless strength.

She ran.

Seven times between the hills of Ṣafā and Marwah. Climbing Ṣafā, scanning the horizon for a sign of help. Descending to climb Marwah, her heart pleading with every step.

Her feet moved with a mother’s desperation, but her soul was anchored by a believer’s trust in Allaah’s promise.

The Divine Answer

And Allaah did not just answer her du’a with the miracle of Zamzam. He immortalized her struggle as an eternal pillar of faith.

“Indeed, Ṣafā and Marwah are among the symbols of Allaah…”

(Qur’an 2:158)

Allaah did not need her steps, but He honoured her unwavering trust by making it a legacy for billions to follow.

Walking in Tawakkul

Today, when you perform the Sa’y, you are not merely reenacting history. You are walking in the footsteps of a mother’s ultimate tawakkul (reliance on Allaah). With every pass between those hills, you are reminded:

That no sincere effort made while relying on Allaah is ever wasted.

That Allaah sees your struggle, hears your silent pleas, and honors your perseverance.

That His mercy often arrives precisely at the moment you feel you cannot take another step.

This is the profound spiritual heritage we strive to honor at Daarul-Hikam.

When you travel with us, we ensure you can walk this sacred path with focus and devotion. Let us handle the journey, so you can fully immerse yourself in connecting with this powerful legacy—where a mother’s run became a permanent symbol of hope for all believers.
